Allow the waters to wash over you
Hello Dear One,
As I write this to you, I feel the depths of this moon and all her offerings. Do you ever have those moments with the moon where you finally sit down to read or listen to what she’s all about, and it hits you? LIKE, OOOOH SHIT, THIS ALL MAKES SENSE. Well, that usually always happens to me with the moon. I prefer seeing the natural influence first, rather than reading ahead and maybe being influenced by what I’ve already read. I’m totally a person who gets persuaded by the power of suggestion, so I will do my best, through these writings, to make it all an offering.
So… we will look at two things here: where the moon is and where the sun is! We are affected by both DAILY, so it’s good to remember what the polar energy of the sun is doing while we work with the moon.
This Saturday, January 3, our FIRST full moon of 2026 is in CANCER, and our sun is in Capricorn. Quite perfect for a New Year’s theme.
Cancer is all about the home base and what goes on in it. Capricorn is quite the opposite… it’s all about public life, the life outside the home. Throughout this moon cycle, we’ll look at how these two sides dance with each other, how they affect one another—the work-life balance. These signs teach us the balance between unconditional love and conditional love. Cancer is nurturing, while Capricorn is about achievement.
So lets talk about the balance with your home life and your career. Which side gets more attention? How does this balance work? Is there time away from work when you get home? Or space from what’s going on at home when you get to work? Or is everything intermeshing into a mashed-potato pot?
I know for me the line can be very blurry, especially being an entrepreneur, so this moon is definitely calling me forward to create better boundaries with myself—because I am definitely the boss in charge here.
This moon illuminates the emotional debt you don’t speak of—the secret stash in the back pocket because you CAN do it all. This moon gives us the opportunity to feel it, to let it out of its hidden crevasse, and make space for the new. Your body guides you to feel it with the assistance of the Cancer moon, experiencing your feelings as meaningful information. LIKE, DAMN, I have been doing/holding all this!???
The emotions from this full moon, or the illumination of what’s been hiding, isn’t just to show you what you need to let go of—it’s also to celebrate all you’ve done! Be in awe of your emotional capacity here. Take inventory of what you would like to be different, and take it all as GOLD for the new cycle of the moon.
Allow Cancer’s waters to wash over the residue of over-extension and recenter you to what is truly supportive and nourishing.
I think this is a beautiful time to consider how we step into the New Year’s energy. Winter has just started, and the New Year’s resolution and goal-setting energy is ALL around. There is a lot of polarizing energy. Our body wants one thing, yet our mind pushes us for another—the pull between being responsible and being human, moving with the rhythms of the Earth or the Gregorian calendar?
So, how do you flow into your New Year’s energy? Or more so, how do you want to flow into the New Year?
What I’ve learned in the past is that the calendar is made up… the astrological new year is actually in March, and the Year of the Horse doesn’t begin until February! So, ¨TIME¨ is on your side. Don’t judge too harshly what you have or haven’t done this year—it’s all going exactly as it needs to, whether it feels fast or slow. AND if you are sooo ready to be done with 2025 energy, congrats—you fucking made it!!!
Remember, your presence, beauty. I love you.
